The Voyage is a board game that I co-designed while interning at the Gamification Republic. It is a game aimed at replacing an HR interview by analysing the player's time and resource management skills and assessing the player's leadership/decision-making style based on the choices they make over the progress of the game. The research behind this game was mostly scholarly articles from Harvard Business Review.

The game is about a five-day voyage that a pirate crew undertakes to reach an island of treasure - to mine a rare metal. Various disasters befall the ship during the voyage and these can be offset if the captain has taken the right precautions during the lead-up to the disaster. As the captain of the ship, the player is tasked with deciding which crew member does what each day, and is given a premonition of the disasters to come on each turn. The captain's decisions could lead the crew to riches and glory... or it could sink them.
